Hardware Compatibility

Your XIM MATRIX supports a wide range of devices that you can combine to produce unique input experiences. Let's take a look at the XIM MATRIX device, it's ports, and types of hardware it supports.

Pairing Button

First, an important thing to point out is the location of the pairing button. This button is used for wireless pairing of devices and flash upgrades. It is located within the crosshair with a raised surface.

USB Device Ports 1 and 2

USB port 1 and 2 are located on the left and right sides on XIM MATRIX.

You can plug a variety of input devices into them and use these devices to game on any console XIM MATRIX supports or PC.

Support includes:

  • Mice
  • Keyboards
  • Xbox Elite, Series, and One controllers (including licensed third party wired)
  • PlayStation DualSense, DualShock 4 and 3 and Move Navigation controllers
  • Switch Pro controllers
  • XInput-compatible controllers
  • DirectInput-compatible controllers
  • XIM NEXUS controllers

In addition, the following can be used for gyro aim as well:

  • PlayStation DualSense and DualShock 4 controllers
  • Switch Pro and Joycon controllers

Note

Genuine Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo controllers required (third party PlayStation and Nintendo controller unsupported).

USB Authentication Port 3

USB port 3 is on the back of XIM MATRIX. It is a special port that is used for gaming console authentication for Xbox and PlayStation 4.

USB Port C

USB port C on the back of XIM MATRIX is used to connect to your console or PC. A USB A to C cable is included for this purpose.

Ethernet Port

The wired Ethernet port is used to game on a PlayStation 5.

Wireless Devices

XIM MATRIX supports use of controllers wirelessly too as long as those controllers support Bluetooth.

This includes:

  • Xbox controllers with Bluetooth
  • PlayStation DualSense and DualShock 4 and 3
  • Switch Pro
  • Switch JoyCons
  • XIM NEXUS
