Debug Dump

On rare occasions, XIM Staff may request you provide a debug dump from your XIM MATRIX in order to help troubleshoot a problem you are experiencing.

Info

A debug dump provides additional information beyond trace logs which includes a copy of your Configs and also additional internal debug information.

Software Error Dump

If your XIM MATRIX is not responsive and is showing a solid white light, it means there was a crash. Your XIM MATRIX will have stored information to help staff debug the problem.

To extract the dump:

  • Enter your XIM MATRIX into flash mode
  • Download and run the XIM MATRIX Debug Dump tool
  • Two files will be created within the same folder you ran the tool:
    • XIMMUserStore.bin: Contains your Configs (same as a backup file)
    • XIMMDebugStore.bin: Contains additional debug information
  • You will be asked to email one or both to a provided e-mail address

User Triggered Dump

Please follow these steps:

  • Flash any custom firmware XIM Staff may have sent you (skip if nothing was provided)
  • Plug a supported controller into your XIM MATRIX (any USB port)
